At Pendle Leisure Trust, we know that a successful team is often a healthy team. We know this from first-hand experience with our staff, and we are committed to not just our own staff’s health and well-being, but the health and well-being of local businesses’ staff as well
That is why we wanted to be part of an exciting Lancashire-wide initiative that looks at improving the physical, mental and social well-being of our workforce across Pendle. This is why we joined Business Health Matters - for organisations within Pendle and across Lancashire wanting to improve or maintain the health and well-being of their employees
It is broken down into two parts. Firstly, the free, European Social Fund, Workplace Health Champion training is available to small and medium-sized enterprises within Lancashire. This looks at supporting and building up the knowledge of staff using a peer-to-peer model, providing industry recognised qualifications and skills within your team
Pendle Leisure Trust also supports the Workplace Health Screening Project. This again has been designed to support small and medium-sized businesses that experience lower levels of productivity as a result of poor employee health - particularly employees aged 50+. This gives your staff not just a full and comprehensive health screening, but our fully qualified Pendle Health Coach can then give actionable advice and support to your employees, helping them to improve their health and well-being
