The Pendle Leisure Trust facility has been given the seal of approval and granted the use of the Society of London Theatre and UK Theatre’s See It Safely mark.
The mark certifies that the popular Edwardian theatre is complying with the latest Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines to ensure the safety of its staff and audiences.
This is ahead of confirmed plans to reopen the theatre in December, with a festive variety show for all the family.
From the team behind our annual pantomime – Shone Productions – A Christmas Cracker will feature some of our favourite panto stars performing an array of talent, including singing, dancing, magic, comedy and circus skills.
Pendle Leisure Trust has already received the tourism tick of confidence – We’re Good To Go - by VisitEngland, which shows people which visitor attractions are safe to visit.
These new awards are designed to dispel any concerns people may have about using reopened tourism venues.
To qualify for the confidence marks, Pendle Leisure Trust proved it was providing the highest standard of cleanliness and safety at its numerous leisure facilities and demonstrated the Trust is adhering to Government health guidance; has carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and has the required procedures in place ensuring they can welcome customers back with confidence.
Pendle Leisure Trust’s Chief Executive, Alison Goode, said: “We’re delighted to have been recognised for all the hard work we have done and the Government guidelines we have followed in order to make sure our centres are safe for reopening. This award gives our members and customers further reassurance that it’s safe to return.”
