Pendle Leisure Trust’s Good Life Project has a brand new website.

Packed with information and testimonials of how the project has helped and changed the lives of so many people, the website is THE go-to place to find out about this very worthy cause which makes a difference to people affected by isolation and mental health.

The Good Life Project, run by Pendle Leisure Trust, is a community allotment based at Hodge House Allotments in Reedyford Road, Nelson, which aims to help adults with mental health issues integrate back into the community.

Using a therapeutic horticultural and exercise programme, the project works on improving mental well-being, physical health, reducing isolation and bringing people together while caring for the allotment.

As well as growing plants, flowers, fruit and vegetables, there are lots of other activities for visitors to take part in too, such as wood-working, arts and crafts and general gardening.

The Good Life Project Manager, Kathy Titterton, said: “We are thrilled to have our very own website to enable us to showcase exactly what we do and the benefits the project has already had on so many lives.

“The website is packed full of information, testimonials and photographs of our allotment and volunteers. We are really proud of the work we do and are hoping our new website will raise awareness of the project and how it can help people.

“We are also looking for anyone who would like to offer support, which could be anything from a financial donation or fund-raising to contributing gardening materials or tools, in order to ensure this vital service continues.

“Every one pound generated by the Good Life Project is invested back into the service to help the people of Pendle.”
