Pendle Leisure Trust and Up & Active are holding a Sports Day for all the family.
Everyone is invited to join in the fun, games, competitions and activities at Seedhill Athletics and Fitness Centre, Nelson, on Saturday, September 16th.
Teams of six, which must include at least one person aged over 60 years and one child under 10 years, are needed to compete in a number of traditional sporting competitions, including 100m, 200m, high jump, long jump, javelin, welly throw, 3-legged race, egg and spoon race, tug of war and a relay race.
There will also be a penalty shoot-out, games, activities, face-painting and a bouncy castle for the youngsters.
All participants will be entered in to a free prize draw and certificates, medals and trophies will be presented to the winners of each race.
Pendle Leisure Trust’s Health and Fitness Manager, Luke Allwood, said: “This really will be a fun day out for all the family, whether they are competing or spectating. We are inviting everyone to come along to this free event, which starts at 10am and finishes when everyone has had enough fun!”
