Pendle Leisure Trust has teamed up with Sacred Heart RC Primary School in Colne to create a Pupil Reward Scheme.
Each term pupils will be rewarded by the Trust for their efforts at school and active lifestyle.
During a term, pupils must complete six activities to be entered into a Prize Draw to be in with a chance of winning a family swim and junior swims at any of the trust’s leisure centres in Nelson, Colne and Barnoldswick.
Activities include taking part in a PE class; taking part in an After School Sports Club; going for a swim; going for a run; achieving 100% attendance at school and being a star pupil.
Pendle Leisure Trust’s Operational Manager, Quammer Iqbal, said: “We wanted to do our bit to encourage the borough’s youngsters to keep active, whilst also taking pride in their school lessons.
“This reward scheme combines both, and Sacred Heart RC Primary School was a perfect school to start with, for its head teacher and staff are already very on board with keeping their pupils active.
“If the scheme is successful, we would like to roll it out to other Pendle primary schools.”
