Pendle Leisure Trust is asking its members and customers to support its services and facilities now it has reopened its leisure centre doors.
The Trust is a charitable organisation that exists for the benefit of the local community, but this has been an extremely trying time with all its facilities and services affected by the disruption of the Covid-19 outbreak.
Pendle Leisure Trust has thousands of fitness members and loyal customers who have been using and benefitting from its facilities and services for almost two decades. Now the charitable organisation needs their support more than ever to ensure it can keep its doors open in the future.
Alison Goode, Pendle Leisure Trust’s Chief Executive, said: “We would like to thank our members and customers for their patience and understanding and hope they will support us once again now we have reopened some of our centres.
“I can't express enough how much their support will mean to us and help us to continue to provide top quality leisure facilities and activities for the people of Pendle and beyond.”
During the last few months, gym instructors have been keeping fitness members active with regular online classes and following Government advice and guidelines, have been giving outdoor one-to-one personal training sessions and providing outdoor classes at Seedhill Athletics and Fitness Centre.
A lot of work has also gone on behind the scenes at the Trust’s four leisure centres and Inside Spa, including deep cleaning, painting and refurbishment work to make sure the facilities were clean and looking their best for when they reopened.
Alison added: “As a not for profit organisation, the income generated from customers, clubs and groups is reinvested back into the facilities and we are now relying on their support more than ever!
“From April 2019 until the end of February this year we had almost 700,000 visitors, which shows how important Pendle Leisure Trust is to the people of Pendle - and every pound spent with us is invested back into our facilities and activities - providing a social return on investment of £22.37.
“Obviously, with no facilities open, we have had no income coming in, so we need every member and customer who has supported us and enjoyed using our centres over the years to return and support us more than ever. In return, we promise to continue to provide a safe, fun and friendly environment for people to enjoy their leisure time.”
The Muni Theatre and The ACE Centre will remain closed until Government guidelines state otherwise.
