The Pendle Leisure Trust sports centre is to see a number of changes in the coming months to improve the facilities for its current users and attract new ones to use the swimming pools, gym, X-rcade and sports hall.
A programme of activities is being introduced to the sports hall and X-rcade, including a variety of fitness classes the whole family can join in with, Walking Football, indoor bowls, Teen Boogie Bounce and Sanderson’s Dance and Fitness Centre will be providing numerous dance classes for the youngsters.
A new pool inflatable will bring more family fun to the large pool; new children’s parties will be offered; there are plans to improve the existing dry side facilities and the centre has once again got a poolside café.
Mark Whitehead has taken residence with his café – White Heat Poolside Café - offering homemade food, cakes and refreshments.
Assistant Manager, Samantha Lamb, said: “There are lots of exciting changes planned to add to the customer experience. We have listened to what our customers want and tried to fit most things in by introducing new fitness classes for both adults and juniors and bring back some of the popular ones to the sports hall and X-rcade.
“We will also be offering children’s parties both in the pool and sports hall and be able to offer food with the help of Mark.
“We are really excited about the new changes and hope that people will be too. It’s all about being able to offer something else to our customers.”
