Patricia recently completed one of our 12-week transformation programs with personal trainer Jordon, after struggling to find motivation in her gym sessions, not really knowing what to do, and noticing more aches and pains in daily life. Jordon stepped in and told Patricia about our 12-week program, perfect for someone like herself who needed guidance and support to get back on track with her health and wellness. Here's what she thought 12 weeks on.
"Before starting the 12-week transformation I was feeling rather down, lacking motivation, lethargic and constantly finding myself full of aches and pains. I made a few half-hearted attempts going to the gym, not really knowing what to do and just making things up as I went. One day Jordon a Personal Trainer at PLC approached me and spoke to me. We spoke in depth about how I was feeling and where I was at and he suggested looking at doing the 12-week transformation with himself coaching me, right away I thought “Oh I couldn’t do that, it’s for younger people”. However, after listening to him, he explained what I would need to do, and how I would have his support every step of the way and in an instant, I thought “Wait, maybe I could do this”.
From that moment, that was the turning point, for the next 12 weeks I was fully committed. Jordon set me a specific training program and went through this with me before I started which helped me to just go into the gym and follow step by step, knowing what I was doing! Aside from the gym I was also set with specific goals calorie-wise, with protein and fibre goals to hit each day, this I did struggle with, but Jordon was on hand to give me guidance and reassurance, tips and ideas to help. Also, I was set to complete daily habits, hitting a step target, water intake, and completing workouts not just in the gym but swimming too which I really enjoy. By having this structure, I was much more active, which put me in a better routine which has benefited me massively.
The 12-week transformation has taught me a lot, self-discipline, how to train in the gym and choosing better nutritional choices. Right from the start and all the way through I felt at ease. Jordon is a fantastic Personal trainer and coach, he was very involved, checking in with me, updating my weekly check-ins and always on hand when I needed him, very accommodating and always encouraging me. I’m so grateful for all of this! I never would have imagined the progress I have made, losing 32 inches overall and 8lbs down, I am the fittest and strongest I have ever been at 63! Not just physically but mentally I feel so much better! It is never too late to start your fitness journey, and you always have the support and guidance to do it!
