A brand new spa experience is set to open its doors in Pendle this autumn, heralding an exciting era in health and well-being for East Lancashire and beyond.
Inside Spa, the highly-acclaimed health and beauty destination in Nelson, is currently undergoing an impressive half a million pound transformation, rising proudly from the devastation caused following a fire at Pendle Wavelengths and the Spa itself last year.
The brand new Wellness Spa Suite will feature a state-of-the-art thermal suite alongside the already popular treatment and relaxation rooms. Although the open date is set for early October, we're delighted to reveal how the hotly anticipated suite will look.
So what can customers to the wellness spa experience expect when it opens in October? Spa experts Helo have created beautiful contemporary styling combined with the latest in spa facilities. With clever design and ingenious use of glass, at a glance, spa users will be able to see the layout and effect of each room and gauge if one is too busy and move to a quiet room.World-renowned spa design and installation specialists, Helo, are behind the new build and have provided us with computer generated images of how your new spa will look.
The wellness suite will feature a central vitality spa with relaxing air loungers, plus neck, back, and feet massage stations at a therapeutic temperature of 37°C. The four large thermal rooms feature an herbal bath, vitality sauna, salt inhalation room and aroma steam.
Alison Goode, Chief Executive of Pendle Leisure Trust is pleased at how the spa’s “ new look” is taking shape: “I am delighted that work is now progressing well on the reinstatement of Inside Spa.The fire was a massive setback to the Trust but now this new state-of-the-art facility will be completed at the beginning of October and I can guarantee customers will not be disappointed with the refurbishment.”
“Our team is delighted with the new contemporary design which certainly rivals any private sector spa in the area. It will be a tremendously enjoyable experience and will once again be affordable for everyone. We cannot wait for the completion and to welcome back old and new customers alike.”
Spa Manager, Beverley Hinnigan, said: “We all work really hard to ensure our customers have an enjoyable, relaxing experience when they visit Inside Spa. Of course we were all upset and shocked by the fire, but our team has pulled together and we are looking forward to the opening of the wellness suite. It will mark a real turning point for the business and means our clients can enjoy all the benefits of a first class spa experience.”
With a calming and relaxed atmosphere, Inside Spa is a hugely popular destination, not only for people living and working in East Lancashire and Yorkshire, but from further afield too. Recent improvements also include the creation of a double treatment room where couples and friends can enjoy experiencing treatments at the same time. Quiet times await clients in the new relaxation room equipped with luxury beds, soft lighting and soothing music.
“Each room has the Helo wellness system which provides air, steam, salt, essence and infusion into each room for a relaxing experience in each room,” reveals Jeff Le Clos of Helo. “The two feature showers have tropical warm programmes to prepare the body for a warm experience and cool mist for gentle cooling afterwards. For the brave sorts, there is an ice bowl with crushed ice, ideal after the hot Vitality sauna. Further relaxation is provided by the four foot spas with gentle foot massage. A Rasul, a traditional mud treatment room for up to four people, completes the wellness spa offering.”
Leader of Pendle Council, Councillor Mohammed Iqbal said: “It’s great news for Pendle that work on Inside Spa is nearing completion. It’s unique and we’ve been proud to invest in the UK’s first public sector spa and support Pendle Leisure Trust’s efforts in modernising it following the devastating fire.”
“Inside Spa has brought affordable relaxation and great spa experiences to local people and visitors,” he explained.“Thousands of people from near and far will be keen to return once it re-opens in October. They’ll see great improvements to this fantastic facility, too.”
