The current lockdown means gyms, indoor swimming pools, indoor sports courts, spas and entertainment venues are inaccessible to the public. Therefore, the doors to all Pendle Leisure Trust's centres must remain shut. These include Pendle Wavelengths, Nelson; Inside Spa, Nelson; Pendle Leisure Centre, Colne; West Craven Sports Centre, Barnoldswick and Seedhill Athletics and Fitness Centre, Nelson.
The Muni Theatre also remains closed and The ACE Centre will remain closed until further notice, as this is still being used as a COVID-19 Testing Centre.
The Trust’s community projects - The Good Life Project at Hodge House Allotments in Nelson and the Up & Active programmes - are also unavailable to the public.
Pendle Leisure Trust’s normal terms and conditions will not apply during this period of closure. There is no need to cancel your membership. It will be automatically frozen and extended to compensate for this period of closure. Pre-paid swimming lessons will be carried forward to when we reopen.
All members will still be able to access online fitness classes via the Activo Facebook group and the expiry date for all Inside Spa gift vouchers will be extended.
Pendle Leisure Trust's Chief Executive, Alison Goode, said: “Of course we are disappointed that we have once again had to close all our facilities. But having to comply with these latest Government restrictions and to protect public safety, we have no other option.
“As always, we have to put the safety and well-being of our loyal and active customers first and it’s vital that our staff are protected too. We will continue to follow Government guidance and once it is safe to re-open our doors we look forward to welcoming people back to enjoy our services and activities once again.
“In the meantime, we wish to thank all our customers for their continued support and ask people to please bear with us during this challenging period.”
