Pendle Leisure Trust is holding an Inter-centre Sports Day to bring its fitness members together.
The event will take place at Seedhill Athletics and Fitness Centre, Nelson, on Sunday, September 11th from 10am.
Teams of staff and members from all four leisure centres – Pendle Wavelengths, Pendle Leisure Centre, West Craven Sports Centre and Seedhill Athletics and Fitness Centre - will take part in numerous sporting activities, including 200m, 100m, 4 x 100m Relay, Long Jump, Javelin, Shot Put, Tug Of War, Penalty Shootout, High Jump and Sack Race.
There will be prizes and a trophy in memory of former Pendle Leisure Trust employee Ian Britton, will be awarded to the winning team.
There will also be free activities and entertainment for children.
The Trust’s Health and Fitness Manager, Luke Allwood, said: “We want this to be a fun day with our members working together and for them to bring their family along to watch and support.
“This follows on from the great day out we had in May when over 80 staff and members completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge. It was a fantastic day which showed great teamwork and we wanted to do something else to bring everyone together, but this time there will be some competitiveness which will make it even more fun!”
