The Good Life Project is opening its gates to the public!
Everyone is invited to pop along to Hodge House Allotments in Reedyford Road, Nelson, between 11am and 2pm on Tuesday, June 14th.
This is an ideal opportunity for the people of Pendle to see what is on offer at this beautiful community allotment, look around the facilities, relax and unwind in a natural environment and take advantage of the surplus plants, crafts and produce that will be on sale.
Project co-ordinator, John O’Neill, said: “People will also be able to sample The Good Life Project’s legendary culinary skills, with a bowl of hearty broth made from produce grown on our beautiful allotments.”
The Good Life Project is a therapeutic, horticultural programme run by Pendle Leisure Trust and funded by the Big Lottery – Reaching Communities Programme. Its main aim is to get people out of the house and in to a safe and non-judgemental environment, while benefiting from being out in the fresh air, being close to nature and learning new skills.
