“I first joined the Feelgood Factory two years ago on the advice of my GP who recommended I followed an exercise programme due to a diagnosis of osteoarthritis in both my knees.
“Initially I had a few free trial sessions and found that I enjoyed exercising very much. Following the induction, I became a member. After a few months I began to feel the benefits of exercising – my osteoarthritis was less severe, my arms and legs became more toned and I lost a couple of inches from various parts of my body.
“In addition, I started to meet new people and have made many new friends. The Feelgood Factory is much more than just a place to exercise, we enjoy discussions on health matters, TV and politics and there is also a book exchange and various fundraising activities to get involved in.
“My membership also allows me to use the other facilities at Pendle Leisure Centre in Colne, including being able to swim for free and attend a variety of different classes. So far I have tried Pilates, Tai Chi and a Marching Class which I thoroughly enjoyed.
“Without hesitation, I would definitely recommend the Feelgood Factory to anyone! All members of staff are very helpful and friendly. I try to go as often as I can and I always look forward to my visits.”
